The First Step is ALWAYS the Hardest!

I'm a mom. A young mom, but a hardworking one, I think. I have one beautiful baby boy with Spina Bifida, which makes walking very difficult, and thus, every single step he takes is something to celebrate. I've decided to name this blog after him because his life journey gives me so much inspiration to conquer and courage to face daily struggles.  Thus, when it comes to food, knowing how to walk in your kitchen and feel accomplished and successful can be a daunting thing. Have no fear, you can take this journey with me. With the help that I've received from Weight Watchers (of whom I am NOT being endorsed by to write this blog) and self-understanding I've gleaned from my fitness idols Chris Powell and Heidi Powell, not only reading their books but also their awesome show on ABC Extreme Weight Loss. Give them a look up on twitter, Facebook, and even their own personal blogs. They are seriously amazing people.

This blog is just a food journal of sorts...me fishing out my journey and finding some really great things along the way (foods, recipes, personal ah-ha moments, answers to questions and the like). So be ready to conquer your kitchen, feel confident in your cupboards, have pride in your pantry, and have no fear in your fridge.

Food is fuel. Let's make it taste good!

Mangiamo!

  1. Decided to start from the beginning with your blog! Now I see you have more info on here than I previously knew! I read backwards slowly piecing together carb cycling and a few recipes! Should have started here to begin with! Thanks again for sharing yourself and motivating! I love it! ❤️
